Different metals and gemstones require different solutions and methods of cleaning. Gold, Platinum, and Silver can be put in our "ultra-sonic" and be steamed, but only some gemstones, like diamonds and sapphires, can be safely cleaned by this method. Some gemstones will lose color if subjected to the heat of the "ultra-sonic" or steamer, others may fracture. Porous stones can deteriorate, or become discolored and dull, if put in the wrong solution or temperature. We also sell jewelry cleaner for at home use that is safe for most jewelry. When in doubt we are here to educate and keep your jewelry sparkling.

We do not advise wearing your jewelry when working out, lifting weights, or doing activities with your hands such as gardening or laying bricks. Jewelry can be broken and stones can be lost when performing these types of activities.
